Old Montreal

The Montreal bagel is unique to its region. In contrast to the New York-style bagel, the Montreal bagel is smaller, thinner, sweeter, and denser, with a larger hole, and is always baked in a wood-fired oven. It contains malt, egg, and no salt, and is boiled in honey-sweetened water before being baked. In this excursion, LE TROU offers participants the chance to experience the joys of bagel-making the old-fashioned way:hand-rolled! Participants will discover the steps involved in making a bagel baked over a flame with a baking stone.

No visit to Montreal is complete without exploring Old Montreal.  Guests will be guided through Old Montreal. Nestled along the banks of the St Lawrence River, Old Montreal is a captivating blend of European charm. Built on the site of the original fortified city, it boasts century-old architecture, cobblestone streets, and impressive monuments that tell the story of Montreal's rich past. Cost: $175 per person.
